Basically you have to disconnect the wiring loom off the ecu and inlet manifold (take lots of notes of the connections, or label well) and then disconnect the air intake and any hoses, then take the manifold off (4 bolts 11 or 12mm). Note there is a small water hose from each pipe that connects to the underside of the throttle body.
Then you can get at the single bolt that holds the pipe in place and withdraw it from the Vee - it connects to a cross-pipe channel or back of the water pump.
Might be worth changing the thermostat too - means taking the LH top engine mount off to get at the housing which is hidden under the cross-brace on the vee.
Change the O-ring seal where the left-side of the pipe plugs into as well as the pipe and refit it. I'd suggest replace both pipes at the same time, why do this twice.
Refit the manifold - no seal kit needed as it has O-rings for this purpose.
Reconnect the hoses etc.
Noting the correct wiring connections, connect up the loom.
Flush the system thoroughly and refill with coolant - but please use a good antifreeze on the final fill, you may not need it from a cold point-of-view, but you DO want the anti-corrosion properties or rust will kill those expensive pipes again soon! Keep the antifreeze as part of the servicing or it will lose the inhibit qualities over time.
Also note - be gentle with the wiring - it doesn't age well and can give problems even with care. Secure the part that connects under the LHM tank with cable ties to prevent it working loose, worth cleaning all the contacts too.
oh yes, also the system is self bleeding on the V6, so top up slowly with the car level, or header tank side higher and you should be ok
