I am afraid that not even someone with a PHD in lubricants will be able to tell you what mixing different brands of lubricants will do for your automatic transmission in reality. And mixing is what is going to happen since you cannot completely drain the transmission. It's not the same as just changing the engine oil
ZF has this impressive list of approved oils uploaded by RobertM, one I have never seen before, but there is no info on what mixing different makes will do. I think if you look at the spec sheets for each manufacturer you will see different figures. You wanna ask your PHD about that? No offense intended

Just one last note from Herr Vogel at ZF, which i inadvertently left out, DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC BASED FLUIDS, the material the internal seals are made from are not resistant to the chemicals constituent in their manufacture, internal leakages and seal failure could result.

just do NOT use Dex-3 as others have already reported elsewhere and here that it will cause early demise of the box and that would be a great shame, given that cost to repair will be significant. Even mixed with Dex-2, it will be a risk that is not worth taking.

Well, the guys from dealer are astonished about the rubbers, carpet, leather etc, who loves XMs are amazed with the mileage - only 68000 km~42000mi- the paint is fresh, all details are immaculate. Lucky, yes I am, I have found a prestige car, in an "old barn" like problably all of us had dream with! I use to say: I don't wanna be rich, I'm happy with small and inexpensive toys, and of course my family, if I have to sell all of them (only a few tools and toys) and keep my family, I'm lucky the same way. Hope can keep my new toy if her wont cost me that much. Cheers

No no no, that is a PERFECT temperture reading!

Its not too hot at all... its spot on. Both my V6's run at that.. and I think its right. It then should climb to 90 in traffic then the cooling fans should come in and cool it back to that showing temperture in your picture
