Looks like the tray carrying the front to rear pipework and wiring has caught on something and been pulled down damaging the pipework. Once it is up on a ramp all should be visible and accessible so it should be an easy repair for someone familiar with Citroens particularly as there is no fault finding to do.

Ouch thats a mess.
easy but fiddly fix, any garage should be able to sort it, just tell them its all brake pipes....
had a brick jump up from the road at my car once, bit incosiderate all i had done was run it over... but it jumped up and did similay on passenger side and took my rear brake feed line out, so everytime i braked it p'eed on the floor.
i did an emergency fix by bending the pipe end over to seal it until i could get home, well who needs the rears....

I've just spoke to my mechanic and he is going to clean up the 5 pipes after lunch and see how many are damaged (as apposed to just loose)

he can splice it in with standard fittings, with it being in the middle it wont hurt none, just the pressures are a tad higher than most normal cars will see.
his only issue is the pipes may be a different size than what his pipe fixing kit will work with.
if he has a good imagination he will be ok, its a pipe carrying smelly green oil, how hard can it be.
5 years ago my pipe cost me 12 quid, but i had to wait a week for it.......

You seldom find Citroen dealers that helpful for XM bits unless you know exactly what you want. Even then they will not have it in stock. Pliades supply pipe, fittings and hydraulic tools mail order. Should find a link on here to their web site. Citroen hydraulic pipework is just a bit non standard in sizes and working techniques from normal brake pipework. There are a few of our members in NI and it might be worth waiting a day to see if any of them responds. They are usually very helpful and should be able to tell you where to source bits locally.

Something similar happened to my sons estate after he drove fast through some standing water, two pipes had fractured. I obtained a flaring tool and some fittings from Pleiades and repaired it in about half an hour.

Once you've done a bit of Citroen plumbing it's not too bad and I actually find it quite satisfying.

I totally agree - it's almost like laying down the track for a train set or Scalextric!!
I know it sounds like I suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (probably do actually
) but I find I have to replicate every pipe identically as per the original Citroen routing and clips etc etc
and it is actually very rewarding process even if ONLY I and the MOT tester know!!
If you have the flaring tool and don't mind a bit of OCD, GSF do sell the pipe and end hollow
bolts (nuts?) but the pipe comes in a 50m roll but it isn't a cheap way of renewing the pipes
- a local Brake & Hose outfit in Swansea make up lengths of pipe on the spot for all
sizes/marques and simply charge by the end and the length of pipe used - there must be
equivalent places about the country.

I'm afraid that not being a perfectionist I just graft a piece of pipe in to bypass the break 
I usually want to get the car on the road again as soon as possible - I still do some serious mileage. At the moment the red estate which is my sons to use anyway, is being used by his wife, the green estate is being used by him as his pick up is off the road, that just leaves me with the black hatch. I had to pick up some building materials yesterday, so I had to 'borrow' my red one back. The white one is presently on sorn - waiting for the warmer weather

Roger just texted me and told me of your problem, well that looks nasty
Definitely seems like something from our wonderfully maintained roads has come up and hit the bracket / trailed it off. In the first pic it looks like some of the body underseal is slightly scraped off the chassis leg, as if the car has been grounded at some point.
Do you know yet which pipes are damaged, all of them?
GSF on Boucher sells the pipe in rolls I believe, and if they don't then I know of a few hydraulic specialist places that may be able to get some.
As others have said, you may get away with just splicing in a section of new pipe to get past the busted places.
It needn't be the end of the world

GFS sell the pipes in 3.5 mm but the ones on mine seem to be 4.5 and 5. something
We're checking now...
Phoned GFS and they say they don't sell the pipes and I gave them the part number (the 50m one) and they say that it's brake pipe and I'm thinking 'Do you actually know what a citroen is?'

Most (if not all) of the stuff under the nearside rear should be 3.5. There are some fat plastic
returns too routed alongside the metal pipes.
