Have you driven a V6 Graig, and how does it compare to a turbo overall?

no never driven the V6 but I fell in love with the SM V6 lol and the SM always I look for a black V6 24 my girlfriend thinks Im crazy she might be right

I was thinking about your question about possible overheating..

The accident on the front happened last August and did a pretty good wrecking job on the front bumber, the grille, the offside light clusters and the offside wing. It is possible that the fan got disabled during the damage, and inevitably, I had to drive it whilst I organized what to do.. buy Craig's parts as it turned out. August was very warm and I thought the engine got pretty hot, so that may be the cause. Still, I didn't notice the temperature guage getting very high and it didn't boil or anything!

another thought, is it at all possible that in reassembling the front of the car, the garage could have connected the fan to the wrong connector so it only runs when the ignition is on? I've noticed a fan comes on when the ignition key is turned on - I presumed for the car interior. Still, if the engine fan was turned off with the ignition it would possibly enable it to overheat.

The question is whether it is possible to contrive a miswiring of it, I would have thought it almost impossible!

the discussion of fans takes us back to the discussion with Little&Large - seems some ambiguityon the point of whethere they are on or off with the ignition.
