Folks,
After three years of fairly trouble-free use of the 2.5, it's having what the aircraft industry calls a "D-check" - up on blocks, partially-dismantled, etc, etc. - So thanks for putting up with a stream of postings!
I note that there is a fair amount of slack in the brass rear height corrector "pivot nut". Ironically, cleaning out some of the rust and crud increased the slack!
Is this tolerance critical in terms of ride height? I can't work out the geometry of the thing. It now slops about a fair bit, enough to squeeze out a lot of grease from each side
