sad.gif couldn't resist buying my XM, I love all the quirky things about it - but - after I had it serviced, it started to leak hydraulic fluid. Is this coincidence, & is it likely to be expensive to sort out? What should I be looking for on ebay!

Hi there!

Your a brave lady!!.. Firstly, start by trying to explain where the leak is comming from. Front, rear, back of the engine, front side, rear etc etc..

We may be able to advise then, and even if your near to one of us fix her for you for a cheap price....

Not brave at all - I was seduced by its graceful lines, the black leather upholstery and the really cheap price - I now know that maintaining XMs is a niche market! The leak is coming from the front of the engine at the bottom, just behind the radiator. I've been told that it could be a leaky valve. I live in Essex, near Chelmsford.

If its on the passenger side, sounds as though its coming from the pressure regulator, most likely the rubber return pipe that has perished.
