Noz a while ago you mentioned the BRT catalogue as a source of information on tensioners and idlers. I am having the belts replaced on the best of the 2.5's I have at 52k. It has been stood for 2 years and I did not want to risk the cam belt in a MOT test. It did not seem sensible to do just the cam belt so it is the balance belt and aux belt as well. The idlers and tensioners are not in as good a state as I had expected so I am going to replace them. Did the BRT cat cover the cam and balance parts as well as the aux tensioners and idlers.
I was surprised that the cam belt was showing some fine cracking at three quarter life. I had expected it to be fine and prove I was being pessimistic.

Full Version 2.5 Belt Tensioners And Rollers
Hi All
Visited my local BRT branch today. Well impressed, thanks you Noz for identifying this source of supply. Of the 2.5TD bits I wanted they had the cam belt tensioner kit in stock (PTK092) code checked between the old and new bearings. They will supply the Aux belt tensioning kit (Non A/C) tomorrow and will deliver to me.
Rushed me just over £50 for those two items. They were a bit stumped by the request for a balancing belt tensioner kit, eventually found it in the catalogue but a check on the computer showed no stock in the company. They will provide details of likely supply date with the delivery tomorrow.

Sorry, I must have missed your first post. Yes I found BRT in Cumbernauld very helpful. When they didn't understand what I was after they just showed me the catalogue and I was able to pinpoint the part I needed. They even went through a couple of catalogues to tie down the exact part number. Delivery was next day for something they didn't have in stock and I thought the price was reasonable in relative terms.
All in all a good find. Glad to hear you got sorted.
