2 x Citroen XM for sale.

Both with spec as follows..
Phase 2 body, black, 2.5 DK5 manual Hatchbacks

Car1, Not registered
Prestige spec
Drove to where it is now 5 years ago.
Right hand window won't stay up , cockpit full of water, cat living inside.

Car2, Registered N525YBL
Not driven for about 5 years
Executive spec with suede seats, walnut look trim, electric glovebox, closed centre mag wheels recently powder coated like new.etc...
This was really pampered to death by me & the local Citroen garage until the cylinder head blew on the test run immediately after doing a full cam belt / balance belt, tensioners, starter, alternator & aircon refit, with new citroen parts. The Citroen place closed & I got sick of it & parked it up. Recent wheel bearings all round. Very high mileage shows how well it used to be looked after. 275,000 miles on the clock. A couple of dinks in the body.

I would save car 2 even though it has double the mileage with car 1 as spares.
I can load both to a lorry by forklift. Both have to go. Scrap price minimum. North Yorks.

Please contact me through the site & I will get photos.

Alec.

Hello Alec,
Do these cars have air conditioning as I need a hydraulic pump tube and cannot find one. My car is an M reg 2.5 VSX without air conditioning.

Colin,

One with aircon, one without.

The Executive has air con. It had air con tubes and all sorts shortly before the gasket went. Also a fairly recent condenser.
When I say the head gasket went, it made the oil go like black mayonnaise. It still drove like a tank with good fuel economy but that wasn't good enough.

I bet that wasn't head gasket and more the oil cooler which are common for failing and putting the oil in the cooling system and assuming head gasket failure! ! And easy swap it's just under the oil filter ..
The clue is you said it still drove perfectly fine. So I'd not say head gasket. Could of been sitting for what could of been a simple repair.. wink.gif

Thanks for that but it was the first thing I looked at. Can't remember the details but I think I bypassed it. No oil came out of the pipe tails but oil still went into the water.
