I have come across this mail of yours by accident and wondered if you had had any replies telling you that I am the sole agent for these shiny strips in the UK. they are of stainless steel and supplied in a kit for all doors at £57 (UK)
My address is brian.primmer@btinternet.com. All available from stock and with full DIY instructions for a perfect replacement for the original (except that they don't corrode).
