On my 2.5TD est. steering ram the rubber collar with a fluid return pipe union (fixed with 2 of those dratted!! latching steel "O" clips) has a tatty end which appears to be all that is left of a dust seal for the ram piston. Checking the parts manual P771, it calls it the "leak back union", and only shows something of the size that I have so I am wondering what is missing and if it is an MOT failure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hi all,
To answer my own question the missing item is what I can only describe as a plastic bag which forms a dust seal. This may not be fitted on all versions as the psrts manual does not show it.
