Welcome broyty, boy you've had some tough luck sad.gif hope the little shit that stole and trashed your xm also died - slowly and painfully... makes my blood boil ! at least he didn't manage to kill anyone else on the road as so often happens.

How'd you get your doom-maroon xm to be so shiny ? wink.gif

Ouch, that is very nasty sad.gif

Your green one looks very nice, i like that colour.

Parking looks a little tight in that block of flats laugh.gif

No unfortunatly he walked away without a scratch was a real shame as the car had only done 38000 miles in its 12 years one owner when it broke a piston up he had citroen put a new engine in it then it failed the mot and i bought it for £175.00 as the oil from the blow up had destroyed the cat and the citroen stealer quoted him £750.00 to replace it as for the maroon one annother one owner low milage car 42000 miles the old boy polished it every week with a top wax polish annother steal from our local stealer who quoted the old boy silly money to mot it i paid £250.00 for this one both of these cars cost me less than £100.00 each to get through the mot both of these owners said they were not going to spend anymore money on these cars and bought new cars from this stealer

So I guess its a myth then that people dont knick XM's.

Bad luck.

Hi Mick,
Welcome to the forum, you have certainly hit the ground running with very useful contributions.
I like that silver estate. One of the things I really liked about mine was you could sit on the flat floor with the tailgate up sheltered from rain. Very useful after golf in keeping dry while shedding golf shoes and rain gear, not to mention its ability to swallow 4 sets of clubs, trolleys etc with ease. Unfortunately it was written off in an accident by an idiot. I couldn't find a decent estate at the time but settled for a 2.5 exclusive hatch that came along.

Robert.

Cracking XMs there Mick, pity your nice S1 came to an unfortunate end, just a bigger pity the oxygen thief that took it didn't write himself off along with it.

Whats with the Irish reg on that green one, was it on it when you bought it? Wonder if its from over here or if the owner had it as some kind of personalised plate...

Robert you never did regail us with what happened to your unfortunate 2.1 estate. Can understand if you don't wish to anger yourself by discussing it mind! :S

Hi Ciaran it was supplied new with its N registration then it was sold to its second owner who put his own plate on it when he scrapped it he transfered his plate to his new car and must have put this plate on it cool.gif
also to show how small the world is both these cars were owned by the same first owner a doctor then went to different second owners then i got them spooky

Must have been a harly street doctor to afford 2 new xms in one year rolleyes.gif
