I would comment that front suspension spheres on a 2.5 or V6 should be renewed if they are as old as the three years quoted. The test as to whether they have had their time is decided by what pressure is in them now. One does no renew spheres if they are still within reasonable limits relating to original specification. And then they only need to be re-pressurized if they have not been run flat and ruined internally.

I know that you are desperate for some firm advice on what to do. If the rubber is failing it cannot be repaired so you must buy a new item. The UK price of £330 will not have VAT applied if it is being sent to Israel so if you order the part in UK it will cost you that plus shipping, plus possible import duty in your country.

Perhaps DOD can supply the name and adress of his small dealer so you could write to them.

Trawling through Ebay an ad for two strut tops in good condition, and for most XM's, on sale at £149.99 each. They are from a car sales outfit Wolsey House Motors. I was looking through "Citroen XM car spares" and saw them on page 11.

The WHM strut brackets are 23mm ones not 25mm. Still worth asking them if they have some 25mm ones as they scrapped a 2.5 recently.

I've just been to a Citroen repair garage and the guy there said all top strut mounts are £97 + vat new.
I asked him about ten times until he said did I want it in writing from him....

What do you think to those prices..?

can we please have a number for this garage? if he can get them for under £115 inc brand new, then he may start shifting some fairly soon!
