In my opinion having a good quality antifreeze of at at least 50% concentration is as important as the oil in you engine.
Ive seen first hand what poorly serviced coolant systems do to an cylinder head and its gasket not to mention every oil cooler and heat exchanger on the car.
Good find.

When I bought the new heater matrix for the 2.5 from GSF I was told that for the warranty to be valid I had to use Antigel. So I did 50/50, after all that work on the head it isn't worth saving a pound or two.

We have always used a good quality anti-freeze to protect the cooling system.
When I put a heater matrix in a Xsara, GSF told us they would only warranty it if we flushed the system and added a stop leak to the coolant!
