I saw that Robert - half price of the Citroen price.
Wondered about buying it myself as they're so rare
but I don't have a s2 2.1 manual!!

Works out around £70 with vat and postage Andrew but still a saving of £50. Go to site, click on "clutch cables" on LHS, select vehicle from drop-down box and up it pops. That said it may not be in stock but worth a try at least. Like you I would have bought it myself if I had a 2.1 manual and intended keeping it long term.
Maybe someone has already done so by now

I have only had one go and that was the plastic link on the end of the cable that broke. At that sort of mileage the clutch is getting very heavy, hence the failure, although the replacement lasted until I sold the vehicle. I tried making a metal replacement which lasted for a while and the cut through the cable.

When you are ready to fit it, let me know and I will tell you how to fashion a tensioner release tool from a wire coathanger, which you will need for refitting the clutch end of the cable.

Great, thts the part ordered, came to £71 with VAT and postage, but that is still a worth while saving. Now I need to do some serious slimming and enrol on an intensive extreme yoga class to fit it.
Peter N, prepare for screams of help from a darh footwell somewhere in Fife!
