OK'ish miles if the autobox is still working properly and had proper maintenance,
nice alloys and good colour! Not another Barryboy donor please!?

Identical to mine (but with the addition of anti sink.....possibly? unsure.gif ), and the same mileage as mine.

One to watch.......a bit far away........but if the price is right...... unsure.gif

Anyone else on here into petrol turbo automatics, or am I alone? unsure.gif

Seems to have the cloth version of "exclusive" seats rather than leather but seems to be an original exclusive.

Minijet, you're certainly not alone. You can count me among the fans of PTA.

A little less performance than the V6 with a little less fuel consumed.

Derek,

Im currently part of the PTA clan with the Black Onyx... I am a PRV V6 driver normally, but my V6 has been resting for a while, but nearly ready for MOT.

not so sure about your comment of the PTA useing less fuel then the V6.. I found that the PTA when pressed hard can use more then the V6, finding then that a Forced inducted engine can use just as much, if not more!

HOWEVER, as far as LPG goes, its been the complete opposite, albiet its gas injection, but she has been amazing on Gas... which was my main reason for trying her...

Aha, Paul. You have the best of both worlds!

During the six months I ran the CTC last winter it averaged about 2mpg better than my V6. It was intended to be my "winter" car, but last year I used my "summer" car (the V6) so little that I've decided to keep running it through the winter.

That is nice, has the electric armrest too cool.gif

A very interesting tyre tread on the front! laugh.gif

Bonnet looks a bit dull?

Derek, what MPG does your 2.0 CT achieve?

I was looking at the pictures on ebay. The engine picture shows the wheel nut remover thing mounted in the engine bay. On my similar date and type S2 it is firmly factory mounted in the boot. Why the difference and why make this change anyway?

Anyway I had (going by my the trip counter) 28.5 mpg over 220 miles last night of very cold twisty costwold hills and a fast (very) dash home down the M5!

A more sedate motorway only trip at a steady 75mph will return 32 mpg with good luck.

Cheers

Actually thats not much less than my 2.0 auto, that usually averages between 32-34MPG.

My Wheel brace is also mounted in the boot, ive not seen one placed there before.

I keep a spreadsheet on fuel consumption on my two XMs (how sad is that?) and long term averages have been 26.5 for the V6 over a period of five years and 29 for the TCT over 6 months. Best figures for one filling were 32.2 for the V6 and 34 for the TCT, both on long trips when I deliberately stayed within the speed limits.

I don't use either car for local work. You've heard of these models who won't get out of bed for less that x grand, well my two don't come out of the garage for less than a 20 mile trip. That's why the V6 hasn't seen much use this year.

The wheel brace was mounted there on the S1 2.0i that I used to have.
I think it's a good idea, but I don't know why it's like that on this car, both my S2's which are older than this one have it mounted in the boot.

I must be sad too, because I did the same thing with my 2.1td for a while. I found I was getting 26mpg........yes, I know, there's obviously something wrong with it. sad.gif

In the late eighties/early nineties, I kept a long term log of petrol and mileage for three Vauxhall Cavaliers that I owned (two 1.8i manual's and a 1.6 auto), they all returned around 27mpg.........so I'm impressed with your V6 Derek.

The trip computer in my 2.0 turbo hasn't been reset for several months now and is showing around 20mpg...............

Looks like I may have underestimated the popularity of the 2.0 turbo automatic.

There seems to be a bit of a bidding war going on at the moment.

£400 with over 4 days to go.........what's going on wacko.gif

For the record, I was bidder 3, just a token bid to get it on my 'items I'm bidding on' list, so I wouldn't forget about it................But I'm out now.

Citroenmad
Thats a great idea! Possibly slightly sad but great nevertheless wink.gif Infact i may start one of my own laugh.gif

The price of the 2.0T is good to see, £400 and still 3 days to go, i doubt thats going for its engine alone, which is great. It does look very tidy cool.gif
