Full Version Useless Russek !

Club XM Forum > Anything goes chat
onthecut
Hi all.

A number of times I have seen these Russek manuals mentioned on the forum, but have never come across one.
Well, that's just changed as I've bought a Talbot based truck that came with one. I can't believe it's the same publisher I've seen folks praise on here. Strikes me as just a lazy (very) rehash of the official workshop manual, with no helpful insights at all. At least Haynes take the trouble to do some original photos and the like and even have the odd tip.
Just writing this while letting the temper subside as this s*****g book has let me down for about the fourth time on something simple I want to know.
OK -- therapy session over -- back out into the cold.

I have to agree.

I have one for the XM and it's never been any help to me.

I agree, I bought one and was very disappointed with it. Strange thing is some people seem to rave about them

The only one I raved about was the pocket version for my GS, I still have it - the book, not the car.

The XM book certainly contains a number of glaring errors.
