Full Version Strange Engine Behavior

Club XM Forum > Petrol Specific Issues
Hi everybody

My friend just bought an XM 2.0i and we have a slight problem with it.
Engine runs fin up to ~3500rpm and then it starts choking and missing the beat, but if you run it over 3500 it works fine.
I thought it has something to do with fuel filter, pump or such, but then it wouldn't continue to work normaly above 3500rpm.
Is there something obvious that I have missed?

Thanks in advance

Does the car do this all the time? Is it related to particular weather conditions? Does it do it when cold or only after the engine has heated up? Are there any other related conditions?
