Has Shane done something to this site!?
Come on now Shane - you've got pop-ups afflicting me every time I try and post something
asking for my Aussie Frogs password authentication...
Ok, so it's not you! Just can't think of anyone else to blame though!!!!!!!

Thanks Dean.
Thought I must've been losing the thread of things but at least it's not soley my problem!
It must be those wonderful smileys migrating from 'Frogs' to here!

Mee too. It must be his account for the storage vault for his photos.
Shane,
Can you adjust your permissions please to stop the login popups?
Cheers

Hi Guys,
can you actually see aussiefrogs ?? I can't even get to the site. Gerry is having database problems, I'll let you know a timeframe for it's return when I hear back from him.

Hi Shane!
It's a weird one! Ironically, it's popped up twice in the last minute where I clicked
into this particular thread...

Hi Guys,
I have posted a message for the adminatrators on aussiefrogs. Aussiefrogs must be down because these two sites are conflicting somehow ?? Are the database IP addresses the same or something ?
We have a hidden forum on the Citroen Bulletin Board we post to in order to keep in touch if the server goes down. You guys have probably just solved the Aussiefrogs problems no doubt. How on earth it's another Citroen board that's causing the problems is beyond me (that would have to be a 1 in a trillion chance wouldn't it ?).
Aussiefrogs and the XM forum aren't hosted by the same provider are they.... and the server provider has messed up assigning the sites the same details ?
seeya,
Shane L.

Hi Guys, first up what has/is happening has absolutely nothing to do with me, don't shoot the messenger
Everything that can be done in the shortest time frame is being done as we speak, at this stage there is no way of knowing if we Aussiefrogs have impacted on this forum - we have a self inflicted corrupt data base and AF has been shut down for repair (again nothing to do with me).
....I'll try to keep you posted
Cheers

OK, it appears that the pop up login message for Aussiefrogs ONLY happens on threads that Shane (DoubleChevron) has posted in. I suspect that something in Shane's profile or sigfile points to a photo, URL or something hosted on Aussiefrogs - hence the pop up from AF.
For example search for any thread with DoubleChevron as a contributor and any of those threads will cause a pop up for AF.
Shane - if you mod your profile on here to remove reference to AF (temporarily) I bet the pop up login message goes away. The longer threads like your aircon XM repair may still have these probs as the photos are linked.
I have done a DNS trace on both AF and Club XM and there is no way there could be DNS confusion. The IPs are completely different.
I also cleared cookies in Firefox and this had no beneficial effect.

Just gotta sort the froggy site now...

Its not doing it anymore.
Its basically because of the server problems Aussiefrogs have been having, it has incorrectly been serving out a login prompt instead of delivering the image which Shane has hosted there (as UFO mentioned). That may be because the owner of the server has temporarily stopped it from serving pages while they fix the database problem.
I get this all the time myself as I host images on a server of my own, and when it goes down, there is constant prompting in any forum thread I've posted in
