Hi all, take care when assembling your injectors... I just broke the bottom half of one of mine by means of some overenthusiastic tightening...

Every winter this car finds a way to ensure that I have to cycle to work !

Oh dear! Its a good job its not an HDI engine. That was how my red estate had a new engine in it when I bought it. It all started when the previous owner decided to change the injectors and managed to strip the thread in the head. I hope it doesn't prove to difficult.

Thanks for that Peter, It's not so bad, I had removed the injectors for an overhaul and was assembling them again, I got a bit carried away when screwing the two halves back together and the bottom half of one of them cracked and split... at least it's a relatively easy fix, just got to get my hands on a donor injector

Fortunatly they are relativly cheap, certainly cheaper than an HDI one at about £500.00!

Oh what a Wally!!!!!!

Are all 2.1 injectors the same as I might be able to find a recovered one or so to send you. They are too large for 2.5TD's so no use to me.

Only the later EPIC are different John, or at least one is. I dont know whether the spec of Bosch/Lucas is different but the fitting is the same.

Thanks for the offer John but I've managed to source a cheap set of four used ones over here, should give me a few spares to practice with

The Lucas and the Bosch outer body parts are unfortunatly not interchangable - that was the first thing I tried...
