I have only topped up the LHM resovoirs up till now. Despite owning Xm's for a few years I seem to get another one before the LHM becomes due for changing. I think its time I learnt how to do this little job.
First any advice on Hydraflush, is it worth the effort? do you use it and the throw it away, or can you use it a few times on different cars.
For the actual LHM change I was thinking in terms of using a spare resovoir and filters that I would clean up on the work bench ready for use. I was then going to set the suspension low to get the maximum LHM in the existing resovoir and just swap the resovoirs and filters over, then top up with new fluid.
Have I missed something or can I get away without bleeding everything.

I would certainly bleed the brakes. Not because of air but because the LHM in those dead-end pipes needs to be refreshened as well.
Besides that you've got it right although I wouldn't bother getting a second set of everything, just take out, clean and off you (should )go.
Hydraflush is worth the effort, it's very thin and will take most of the dirt in the system out (clean filters when about halfway the required distance of keeping it in).
But if the LHM doesn't look too dirty and everything works the way it should don't bother.

How many miles do you run with the Hydraflush in?

About 500 I think.

Citroen specifies not to exceed 5,000 kms on hydraflush. That's about 3,125 miles.

I'm now hydraflushing mine for the second time, and at just before 4,000kms I was about to put LHM back, when I started noticing an improvement in suspension softness (I've got chronic problems). So, in it stays till 5,000kms to see what'll happen.

LHM needs changing every 60,000kms. That's about 37,500 miles.

When I hydraflushed mine the instructions were to leave it in for between 1,000 and 1,500 miles.
