Unfortunately some more bad news. AlanS of Aussiefrogs fame and champion of all things Citroen in Australia has recently passed away after battling cancer.

I have read some of his articles, probably more Bx and Cx related than Xm. But the attention to detail and clear concise instructions are similar in depth to Noz's.

A very great loss to the Citroen community worldwide.

Condolences to his family.

Didn't know Alan and hadn't read any of his articles, however his loss to our community deserves a thought from us all.

Alan's son, Adrian said its ok to link to the above post for anyone who's interested.

I'm not a member although have gleaned loads of info from the site over the years. If anyone from here is a member maybe they would like to pass on our respective condolences?

Very sad news.

I didn't know Alan, but read many of his articles and posts on Aussiefrogs just out of sheer interest. Here is a guy who knows a hell of a lot about Citroens and unselfishly spent a lot of his time trying to help others.

A huge loss to the Citroen community as a whole.

very sad news indeed, a giant now lost from our community. I didn't know Alan, but have read many of his posts on a couple of forums and hopefully this legacy will remain as a rememberance to him and continue to help many more enthusiasts for a long time to come.

Condolences to his family, and to all who knew him

regards

I've been fortunate in the past to have advice and communication with Alan through
FrenchCarForum which I found invaluable - Alan was very much a man you'd warm to
easily and certainly someone who was very well read and accurate in his Citroen
comm's/advice and knowledge; you could trust/accept his words as fact!

Anyone who really loves his Citroens and enjoys talking to fellow enthusiasts about them
is a man very much after my own heart; the fact he is now unable to contribute amongst
the Citroen www is a sad blow.

He had quite a sense of humour - a quote I read many a time at the foot of every entry
In his FCF posts reads:

She said "Put the cat out" She didn't mention it was on fire!!

May his continued spirit and passion for all things Citroen remain on the www forums in
the many posts he made and evidently friends he leaves behind.
