Hope there's someone a bit less technophobic than me out there.
Been struggling for half a day with this. Have registered on Photobucket and downloaded some pics.
When I come to put them on a post the URL transfers but at the top of the preview this appears:-
"Sorry, dynamic pages in the [IMG] tags are not allowed"
No idea what it means or what to do about it. I'm not aware that I've made any tags, but went back to Photobucket and tried to find tag removal instructions - they're mentioned, but cannot be found.
Please help someone, I know I've done something wrong but have no idea what.
I'm really not in the mood to be struggling with this as you'll see from the pics when I can finally get them Posted.
Thanks Rodders.

Not totally sure what exactly the problem is here but I'll try and offer help as nobody
else has volunteered yet!!
The warning dialogue you're seeing is when you preview the IMG photobucket picture on this forum?
I guess the actual file is your everyday bog standard JPEG as photbucket wouldn't have accepted it!?
Sounds more like there is a problem accepting the file on this forum; out of interest as a process
of elimination, have you tried another like www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum

Thanks Andrew for trying to help. I'll try again when I have a few minutes. Thee files have all been accepted to Photobucket Ok. but seem to have difficulty transferring them here.
Is there perhaps any other "start from scratch" route that I could try/repeat?
When I do manage to get them up I think you above all others will be interested to see the woeful situation that I came home to recently.
Thanks again,
Rodders.

Rodders,
you could send one of your pics to another member via email and let them try to post it on here via their photobucket account.
If it doesn't work for them, you'll know it's the picture that has the problem.......if it does, then you'll know it's something wrong with your photobucket account.........I think
If you want me to give it a try, let me know and I'll pm my email address to you.
regards,
Paul.

Oh dear. That sounds ominous Rodders...
BTW: Try hosting the files you want to upload at www.imageshack.com
No reason my Photobucket won't do the job really mind?

Really am beginning to get hacked off with this !! Sorry, guys if the saga is getting a little boring and protracted.
Have tried ImageShack now as well as re-loading to Photobucket and it still comes up with the same warning and won't load.
Have checked that pics actually are jpegs and they are. This seems well beyond my (very) limited IT skills.
PM sent Minijet, if you may be able to assist.
All I want to do is share a few pics with you all !!

Could be the format embedded into the jpeg from your camera but I doubt it really.
It is RGB and NOT CMYK?

Hi Rodders,
Just a quick check - you are copying the 'IMG Code' from below your PBucket image? Paste this straight into your post - no need to add any img tags.
You will get the message you describe if I try to use the 'HTML Code' string from below the image.
I've found the same if trying to link direct to the large photos on the Auto Trader website.
Cheers,
Tim.

Hi Mouseflakes, well spotted. I am getting the code from the bottom box beneath the pic in 'bucket. Thought that was how it was done, but obviously not. Question is where DO I get the code from ?
Andmcit, Minijet is trying some pics for me from his end which will confirm or rulwe out the camera derived theory.
regards and thanks, Rodders.

Hi Rodders,
I just tried one of your pics and it worked ok.
Do you want me to post them on here, or do you want to try again yourself?
I think Tim may have solved the problem............all you need to do is click on IMG code (on photobucket), a yellow message comes up saying 'coppied'.
Then on this site,..........right click............paste.............then it should display ok.

Looks like you're doing it right there Rodders.
That sounds like the correct field to me (bottom box as you say - the field is named 'IMG Code').

Looks like I now have it licked....thanks one and all for your patience. I have more pics to post somewhere more appropriate, but at least I can now thank those of you who were kind enough to help and satiate your curiosity by letting you all know what the hell I've been on about.

Unbelievable!!
How utterly, utterly, stomach-churningly pointless some peoples' actions are.

Words fail me; I feel Ill.
Is there any more story to fill out the gut wrenching pictures?
Enter a "Look what they've done 2" in the XM Issues so there's
more coverage for your loss. I'm guessing all 5 XM's were lost
including the 24v'er...
Rodders, your rage must be insurmountable.
