Full Version Breaking 2.0i Si Estate Parts For Sale

Club XM Forum > Sadly it has to go...
Andmcit
Sadly, you're going to see a few 2.0i's of mine being broken here so if there is actually
a s1 part you're after, the chances are I will remove it off the car before it gets weighed
in. If I can find my camera, I'll try temping folk with complete cars but the only buyers
interested in spending money on old cars at the moment are scrap dealers...

The one that needs to go at the start of next week is a complete dark green 2.0Si manual
estate generally in GWO on a K plate with IIRC 130K miles. It failed the last MOT on it's
emissions so I'm not going to keep the engine although it doesn't smoke etc so probably
a lambda sensor. It also requires a spot of welding to footwell damage underneath but
basically it's one of many who's time has finally run out and it needs to go unfortunately.
It's a car that will struggle to find a new home too as it has modest panel outer skin damage
on the offside rear wing; nothing that's rusting or 'that' difficult to repair but a challenge
most won't bother to try and fix.

I intend removing as much of the 'easy' stuff as possible but aim to keep some panelwork
if I get the time and the ABS driveshafts/front legs/calipers etc. The interior is immaculate
electric cloth tweed but the rear parcel shelf as AWOL in case anyone asks. Stuff that is
unique to an estate isn't really what I'm interested in now as I'll then just have the one and
that's near immaculate.

Yes, and I've already earmarked the sunroof that works 100%!!

Andrew,

Where are you located?

I would probably take a few parts if they are available:

Front o/s wing and front bumper specifically but if you are near enough I might go for more.

Hi Andrew, it might not be an 'easy' bunch of bits to remove but I'm a firmness regulator and the thicker hydraulic pipes to the struts and 2 rear struts.

I'm supposed to be at the Stratford upon A rally on the Sunday if you're going. But if you're not for taking these type of bits off it's OK as I'll get some another day.

OK John,
I believe the front wings are already spoken for, though the front bumper is available but
it may not be practical to post it to London from Swansea!!

Graeme,
The rear feed pipes are usually a right git to remove off the rams but I'll have a go if I
get the time; I'm up against it for time so will do what I can!!

I'll post some pictures of the car complete as taken between the rain showers this evening
to help give folk an idea of the estate's condition. Sad to see such a useful big bit of kit
being scrapped; I never like scrapping Citroens. sad.gif ohmy.gif

Hi

any chance I can get my hands on a replacement fuel injector loom these are the 4 plugs that sit directly infront of the spark plug leads and are wrapped in the black flex conduit they lead to 4 plugs ?

Does it have the original radio/cassette and if so does it still work?

Might need a bottom rad hose too for the Prestige, or whatever else has broken, still awaiting diagnosis from indie. The rad hoses are a bit hard to source new apparently.
aRe they different on a/c and non a/c models?

I really need an S1 plip too and the rear bumper is a bit of a mess but its been thru the
MOT already and too big to post.

MOT time once the coolant leak is fixed (out 4 sep) so maybe some other bits if you still have them.

Just picke up a couple of S1 wing mirrors but if there are any more of those going I'm probably interested, remember I am the lunatic who keeps 2 XM's parked on narrow Bristol streets!

The car was despatched today against my wishes (but needs must) with more attached than
I'm particularly happy about. The radio was a non standard naff affair, the plip was never
available on this car and no hoses or rad were saved as they'd seen better days, so sadly
not really any use to you really. Both S1 mirrors are spoken for now too!!

Mind, rear bumper is still available although it's for an estate and it's not totally perfect!!
I'd make a great salesman wouldn't I! laugh.gif

No worries, just got a couple of mirrors as i said and kicvking myself for not going higher on the S1 plip on Ebay recently, thats enough for now if it (the (Prestuige) ever goes anywhere else except the scrap yard... I am optimistic enough to have taxed it for another 6 montyhs and renewed insurance as well as getting spare mirrons on.
