The red XM in that 'French Kiss' film is a wee bit mad, it has a hand operated (yes, really!
) hand brake!

How do you know? Have you seen the film??
They probably had ONE car adapted for what ever reason...

Yep, a few times.
Not sure what the story is with them adapting it, they probs did it for some reason. The handle comes out of the central arm rest!

Isn't it just that they filmed the interior shots in a completely different car? I seem to remember it isn't an XM interior at all - but I have only seen it on YouTube with my attention elsewhere.

Interesting!
I see there is an Xm with xantia trims, looks good actually.
What was that english film with a green Xm estate (s1) as the guys car. I can't really remember what it was about now
Look at that bright red s1, thats the first time ive seen that colour. always thought it would look good on the Xm, i quite like that.

I believe it was a TV series called 'All about George', starring Rik Mayall.
He ran a builders firm along with his dad and brother (obviously there was more to it, but that was the main thing).
The XM featured quite prominently, showing up in several scenes each episode, including several where the characters sat in it talking etc, and it was even in the little animation during the opening credits.
I watched it (started off just out of morbid curiosity just because of the XM), and it wasn't a bad show, though I never did see it again after the first season, so I'd presume its been cancelled.

Hmm sounds interesting, but not what i was meaning.
I think its something about a guy and his young daughter, and a nanny maybe.
Its soo long since ive seen it, i just remember the car! It was a film though, not a series.

- that might be 'Jack and Sarah' with Richard E Grant. I am certain he has a dark green XM break but it's only seen once or twice.

Yes that sounds like it
It is indeed a dark green Xm estate, it features quite a bit in the film.
