Hi all.

See there's a 2.1 listed at Bristol with leaking rear fluid pipe. I have a fairly strong feeling this is one I sold about a year and a half ago. Bought it for bits with the head gasket gone; found it was much too good to break, so did the gasket.
It went well, but be aware that at the point at which I sold it (which I did point out to the buyer at the time) it did still seem to develop a higher degree than normal of pressure in the cooling system.
It may well be, of course, that the present keeper has rectified any remaining problem. It may even be a different car -- but it does sound familiar.

Thanks for that Mike. I might have been tempted, if it had been an estate I would have bitten his hand off, I have been looking for a silver one for years. The first one I have seen came up on ebay while I was on holiday and I missed it!

If it's not a misprint for 4000 then I guess he either sorted the issue or keeps a careful eye on things. Maybe I was just being paranoid. If you've got a hankering for it, guess the only thing to do is go and look.
