I see Mervyn King has had to write to to the Chancellor to explain why the interest rate has gone up. Obviously the bloody idiot couldn't work it out for himself!

Be better if the Chancellor wrote to Merv on behalf of his boss and apologised for the mess he has created whilst promising to learn from it. Doubt he's capable of learning cos he's a politician. They know everything, including, how to get a 50% of final salary pension after only five years.

I didn't think politicians could learn or apologize! usually a politicians apology consists of some smarmy half arsed bull sh*t, for example, "I'm sorry if my statement was misunderstood and caused offence" (I'm sorry if your too stupid to understand what I'm talking about) "I'm sorry for the distress and embarrassment caused to both my family and fellow constituents as a result of my actions" ( I'm sorry, but only sorry that i got caught in such a compromising position with my secretary, three badgers a horse and enough charlie to keep 4 rock bands high for a year...........again.)
You wouldn't mind what they do in there own time but the problem is we pay for it, and they usually do this sort of thing when they are supposed to be running the country into the ground...............oh no, wait a minute i was supposed to stop at the word country there.
