I'm in the process of ordering a cam belt kit for my 1996 2.5td Am I right in assuming that the engine type is DK5 ATE

DK5 is correct.
I would strongly advise purchasing other rotating items (Jockey pulley, tensioner pullley?) at the same time otherwise you will be expecting them to do at least another 75 k miles before next belt replacement!
Should be ex stock Citroen next day,with luck.
