Hi all..

My poor ole 24v has been sat in her parked spot in the field for the last 2 and a half months... and we've had some rain and wind..

So today, I took off my blind fold to her, went armed with a battery, plonked it on, turned the key and click.. the useual starter click

then 3 more times, then the starter decided to turn and first turn vRROOOOMMM off she went, like a 2 year old car!

118k starts first time, what more can I ask, I do miss her on the road, and come august she's been sitting a year off the road. So I think I'm gonna start looking at getting her all sorted to have another 6 months use...

Exhaust leaks, gearbox swap, rear cill welding and possibly 2 tyres and that should do her biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Happy driving while we can (just) still afford it everyone

Always satisfying to hear them fire up after a long period at rest isn't it Paul! biggrin.gif

I remember the same with my old 2.0 when it had been sitting around for ages, always felt good anyway smile.gif

Get her back on the go! biggrin.gif

She sure will be, its been NEARLY a year since the last tax ran out, so, this summer (if we get one) she'll be all prepared!

Wish mine would start sad.gif

Wish i had time to try and make it start at the moment!!

I built the fault code reader the other day and the only fault that i got from it was the MAF sensor which i knew about anyway.

Will try and have a look into it again next week when I return from Leeds for the 5th week running!

Paul, I'll need to try and come down n have a catch up once everything calms down again with work etc etc.

Regards

David.
