On ebay for parts £180 Item 250241303970, re-listed last time!

Citroen XM sei, S1, H-reg 1991, golden metallic, officially "beige"

I have to very reluctantly get rid of my beloved XM sei which is beyond economic repair because:
a) cracked engine block or head (after spending hours refurbishing the head, all new) there is still water in the exhaust. Even after treatment with miracle chemicals. Now it has an engine with reconditioned head, new water pump and timing belt. What a waste of time and money.
cool.gif Clutch is down
c) Some burst hydraulic pipe in steering rack area

This is a very low mileage car <80k for its age and most parts should be still perfectly usable.
It has magneti marelli injection, which is rare and if anybody needs bits, well, there you are.
It has air con but one missing hose, so not functional although I had it running once. All ECUs in working order.
Nice black single spoke steering wheel with 4-buttons, the way it ought to be.
All interior black leather, in very good order. All electric. Perfect sunroof. No leaks. I have owned quite a number of Citroens models, this was the one with most everything in working order! Gearbox in good condition!
4 Pirelli tyres with good tread from last year. All semi-hub caps are available. Rear interior window, parcel shelf all OK. Almost no rust. I am sure this car was garaged by previous owner(s). I have kept it on garage as well but it lives outside now.
This is not a complete wreck, it was a decent family car and we hate to see it go. It was due to get a new clutch and then the engine cracked on the way home from work. It would have had plenty of life left in it.
I am putting it on for £180 for parts, if it doesn’t go, I will strip it for parts myself if I have the time.

Would you consider another near identical car (same colour/age but i not SEi)
that works very well but has bodywork issues as a spares donor?

It's rear offside OUTER 1/4 has had a very minor slow speed shunt that's creased
the rear panel and ever so slightly altered the tail light panel where they meet
- seriously it's not significant but it's not perfect either.

I was going to see if it'll find a new home as a going concern but if you want to sort
your nice sounding car it could be a mutually beneficial arrangement; I'm not exactly
ready with a full description/plan/pics etc about what I'm going to do with it but it
has to go and I guess I'm not looking for a lot for it if you'd consider taking it on to
rescue yours!

Thanks Andrew but not means to fix it here.

No worries Michael.

Can you locate the paint code off the nearside inner wing area between the
nearside headlight and the battery box? Guess it'll be black stencilled lettering;
I can't recall which door or wing I need for another Xm I've not seen for ages
but I'd be very interested once I've confirmed which one...

Hi Michael,
I would be interested in a couple of wheels if you are breaking the car
Thanks,
Steve
