Sadly, this is just the order of the day for Titsup-scali.
I first encountered them about 8 or 9 years ago. They purchased an ISP I used to use (LineOne), and service went through the floor. Since then, they've had a fairly consistent track record of buying competent ISPs, and ruining them.
What scares me is they've recently bought Pipex, who I have a lot of business customers hosted with, time for a mass migration I think.
I hear that on the DSL side, they've started moving a lot of Pipex and Nildram business customers onto the 'noob pipe', sharing with all the fiver a month bargain basement accounts. There have been widespread service outages of 3-5 days in some cases apparently

The next step in their plan is to sack a few hundred staff and move tech support and customer service to call centres in India and north Africa, all part of improving the service to you, of course...
The sad thing about Tiscali is they don't know too much about the ISP business, but they're pretty good at acquiring other providers, they are known as the Borg of the ISP world, only service gets worse with each takeover.
