Just got a pair of unused and boxed front XM spheres. These are in citroen boxes however they have no chevrons stamped into them. One box was sealed the other had been opened but taped up some years ago. Is there anyway to date them?
The are from an S1 prior to feb '93 for the 4 pot cars or july '93 for the 6 pot cars.
How different are they to the later cars (I guess H2) they have 400CM3/50 BARS on them and a part number of 96 065 505 on both
Is there any way to date them and what is the shelf life?

guess there's no date printed on them then, so you probably can't/
as for shelf life - openning a can of worms as there's very different opinions, but they may well be ok. Probably best to find an indy with a sphere tester and get them to check for you - where are you based? Edwards in Billericay, Essex have one, if that's any help.
