Can anyone tell me how to change the doseur valve on my 2.5? Can't find it on a search. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

Hi Hydractive

If you have not yet removed the scuttle trim then carefully unclip the two triangular end covers by pressing downwards on them and pulling the bottom edge out. You will now see two screws at each end and one in the middle of the scuttle. With these screws removed the scuttle is moved back and up until the front spiggots come out. you can then remove it completely. The doseur valve will now be in view. Unplug the wires from the wiper motor and mover the washer pipe out of the way. With the hydraulic pressure released you can undo the 3 visible upper pipes and also one on the rear of the valve. At this stage remove the 3 torx screws holding the valve bracket down to the chassis. You can now raise the valve enough to see both the bolts that fix the valve to the bracket. Remove these and take the bracket out of the way. Twist the valve to get at the last 2 pipes fixed to the lower part of the valve. Reassembly is the reverse. Have suitable plugs/caps handy to cover the pipes from any dirt ingress. Check the movement of the bracket hinge and lubricate well. While the valve is out of the scuttle mop up all the spilt LHM as it is difficult to do with the new valve back in. The one I swapped a few days ago took just over an hour.

Thank you very much XMerc. I'll follow it to the letter!
By the way, do I need the large seal as well (theyre only sold in 10s at £1.50 each) or can I get away with just the small seal? Many thanks for any advice.

Hi Hydra

All 4 steel were 3.5mm pipes I think. The other two are rubber hoses with one a push fit and the other a wind up band clip. I was of course guilty of reusing the old seals still it goes back for MoT retest today so we will see.
