Looking at the BX site and one or two others it would appear they have regular days out and meets throughout the year.
So just as a feeler does anyone fancy having a meet March/April time? Find a nice location and get together for the day?
It would be nice to meet some of my fellow nutters!

Hi Demag,
Its a great idea. We organised one up here two years ago and we got about 10 people at it. It was fairly successful. Dj had his Elit diagnostic computer which was well used. I changed a 2.5TD timing belt in 1hr 50min as a demo.
The hardest thing is first to fix a date and then to get some committment to turn up. There's nothing worse than organising something on the back of promises then no-one turns up.
Count me in as long as the dates work.
cheers

The Midlands sounds a POSSIBLE fair area to meet.
A sugestion to make so its as far from Scotland ( as theres a fair few of us up there) as it is as far from Down South (Theres a few down there too!) For me, getting accross to Liverpool from N Wales is simple.. so I reckon a nice rual area in the midlands SOMEWHERE would be nice
I'd REALLY will make this one this time.. But unfortunally my S1 24v V6 wont be ready for this meet, so the next one maybee.
UNLESS I can get a trailer to hire for the day.. I'd bring her along then..

Sounds good to me too. How about piggy-backing onto one of the Citroen Car Club Rallies where we could boost attendance and benefit from the facilities already organized. It might add something to their event and enhance our own? I'm certain CCC members and non-members would all be warmly welcomed.

Sounds a good idea.
The local branch of the CCC meet in Barnsley every month from April to Sept? I only went once, after sitting there with my pint for an hour on my own I gave up and went home.
Would the Wetherby meet be any good?
Steve.

Wetherby may be a bit too much north for the Southern people...
Anywhere a little more south?? Need a map to find a good fair spot really..

I'm up for it in principle, but as I'm on the south coast everywhere is far away from me!
If we left it later in the year, when it's a little warmer, and held it somewhere with camping I'd be willing to go further as I could overnight cheaply.
The only car show I attended last year was the CCC National in Cambridgeshire, with the BX Club guys, and we had a fantastic time camping overnight with beers, barbecue and campfire (and random car-fixing while drunk at 2am).

Yeah, count me in - I'd love to meet up! Midlands etc would be good for me also - I could drop the missus off at her mums in Derby!

I hope they don't mind, I just copied this from the BX forum. S'pose we could all gatecrash?
"If im right, sunday April 20th is "National Drive your classic day", we are trying to organise in the Citroen car club a meeting point, then drive to Crich, tramway museum, in Derbyshire i think,
If the BX club would like to join us, you will all be most welcome!
more info to follow."

Haven't been to Crich for years, the road up the hill from Matlock is a great drive.

Crich would be good, went there last summer in the other car and I think the entry ticket is valid for a year so could save a few bob.
The "other car" is an A40, from the days when life was so simple. I reckon I could completely strip and rebuild it in less time than it will take me to sort out the dash bulbs and ABS computer for the forthcoming MOT. Its a 2000 auto 2.1TD.
County Durham is my home so anywhere from south Scotland to Derbyshire is in range.
