I expect some of you have seen it, property of the late Johnny Morris, then Terry Nutkins (same name as me, possible relative) now for sale for spares. When we had our first XM I remember seeing him on TV in it, and hearing it was a diesel. I would like to buy it but have enough junk here allready.

Yep got my eyes on this. The owner has been told its the govenor springs on the auto box that have died, does this sound possible?
Chances are Jonney looked after it - some how cant imagine him thrashing it up the M1. Terry also doesnt look the boy racer type.
It still needs to be a reasonable price to make it worthwhile.
There is also a M plate 2.5 td Exclusive that would be worth a look. 166K will put most people off
Cheers
Mark

Dont know much about automatics I'm afraid, about the only part of a car I havn't dismantled, don't like them to drive either, but then I dont live in London. Same goes for 2.5s, I'm sure they are very nice to drive but even more difficult to work on than the 2.1. If it had been a 2.1td manual estate I would have been in there bidding with you.
