Hi all

since there's been a discussion recently on the characteristics and benefits of this type of suspension, I have found and put online a document I had. It first explains the principles of suspension theory and then goes to present the hydropneumatic suspension and the benefits it brings. It is titled:

" Suspension Problems and the Hydropneumatic Solution "

I'll upload here just the first few pages out of the 44 total just so you get an idea of the content. If someone is interested in...studying further, the whole document can be found at my (messy) Flickr page at

in the "Hydropneumatic Suspension: Principles of Function" set.

That looks very interesting, George. It's a bit too near my bedtime now but I'll definitely be downloading it tomorrow.

Hi, this is very interesting and I am sure it is a great resource for all of us. Make sure this somehow goes into the public domain for pdf download, perhaps. I have a very similar pamphlet, same style, same everything on the Citroen CX. It helped me a lot when I had my CX. It maybe be a problem that it is in French and German. It helps that I know German, so if anybody has some urgent translation requests, please contact me. I started scanning my manual but it was a lot of pages in the end.

Sorry, just downloaded the lot - only the FDV is in French German. Great!

Hi Michael

if you ever upload this CX-related manual I'd be very interested to getting it. I also have another document that some...mad french Appllied Physics scientist wrote on the benefits of the hydropneumatic suspension, problem is it's only in French -perhaps I'll translate it if I ever have the time-, but I could email it to anybody that wants it.

cheers
