Full Version Front Calipers

Hi All

Changed a front wheel bearing yesterday and when I reassembled the previously free caliper was sticking. Ah pad wear wire clip I hear you all cry. A myth as far as I am concerned as I have never ever had any trouble and have always used the pad wear cables on all my XM's.
It turned out that I had put the little caliper locking pin "R" clip in upside down and so the front toe of the "R" was fouling the caliper body.
Do not remember any instructions about the way up the "R" clip goes but it seems very important to put the toe down away from the caliper.
