Hi Jorgy,

I know there was a french group working on the comms between the radio and the instrument display and for the most part they cracked it. They could send any message they liked to the display by piggybacking onto the comms pair between the two devices.

Have you managed this yourself? If so, I'd be extrmemely interested in the methodology and the associated circuitry. Alternatively, is the photo a fake?

cheers

Hi Noz

it's Photoshop of course!! Didn't mean to deceive anybody, I thought I made it clear it was a joke ("available at any dealer"...??). Sorry to dissapoint all of you who would really like to have that working.... unsure.gif

Hi Noz,

Come to think of it, I do remember you posting that link before, and discussing the radio station info on S2s. Pity the S1 displays don't have it. In wiring terms, are they hopelessly different from the S1... i.e could you make up some kind of adapter cable, mapping the appropriate warning functions to the (no doubt different) S2 ones, or is it a lost cause?
