Club XM Forum > Introductions

Hi guys,

Just a little note to introduce myself.

I'm a big fan of hydraulic Citroens and have owned a GS, two GSAs, a CX and three BXs. I currently have a cheap ZX as my last BX - a lovely Mk 1 - was sadly written off (not my fault).

I'm here because I'm considering replacing it with an XM. Even if I don't, I'm a big fan of these cars so I may well stick around.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Stu,

Welcome to Club XM Forum. You won't find a friendlier or more helpful bunch of guys on the internet.

Hi Stu, if you can find a good one, they are definitely a very nice car to drive and look at biggrin.gif. Despite their little problems, Tales of unreliability can sometimes be blown out of proportion. although some may not agree.
Good luck with whatever you do anyway, Dean

PS ken is right!

Well, here it is! The light wasn't ideal last night but I managed to grab a few half-decent shots with the South Downs in the background. It's a pretty spot; if the cloud hadn't been so awful those might have been some nice sunset shots. I'll keep trying.

It seems to be, yes! I've only driven it about 150 miles but it's smooth, quiet and everything works as it should (except for that poxy brake light I've mentioned in the tech section).

Under 70,000 miles, a service history file right back to when it was new, and an unmarked interior smile.gif

It rides about as well as my old CX but definitely holds the road better (mind you, the CX was on awful cheap tyres) and the seats are superb.

The real shakedown will be next week when I take it to the Ile d'Oleron though!

Looking great Stu, very tidy.

Hmm, those hubcaps and seats bring back memories of my now dearly departed S1 2.0i smile.gif

P.S Someone should have a spare speaker grille if you need it smile.gif

Am I missing one? unsure.gif

Looks like the passenger door is missing one here:

But it could just be the light / angle, I may be wrong! smile.gif

It's just the flash! It is there. Good spotting, though!
