Hi all,

The Citroen Car Club Scottish Section are holding their annual rally at the ground of the Galashiels Rugby Club in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders. The name of the ground is Netherdale. The rally is from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd July.

A warm Scottish welcome is extended to one and all to meet at the rally with your XM or indeed in any vehicle. If you are reasonably local and have a spare couple of hours why not pop down and say hello. It is not necessary to be members of the Citroen Car Club to gain entry. If you live further away then there's plenty of camping, B&B's or hotels in the area. I am currently trying to find out if camping is available in the rugby ground itself. I'll report back when I have any news.

Please come along and not only support the Scottish Section of the CCC but Club-XM too. It would be nice to put a face to so many well known names on here.

I'll be bringing along as many tools gadgets etc etc as I can. I may even be able to beg a loan of an Elit diagnostic computer for the weekend. (fingers crossed, no promises)

cheers

To save a member busier than I am, I can assure you that there is camping and caravanning allowed on the site at £10 per night (for members only? - I wouldn't thinks so if there is room.) Clubhouse shower facilties and meals available.

I had a quick look in on the campsite today on my way up from Hull. I spoke to Ian Crossan who's organising it and there's plenty of room for campers.

I'll be going tomorrow and staying over in the caravan. Anyone from club-xm will be welcome for a cuppa and a natter. I still hope to have the elit with me or at least with someone else bringing it.

One word of warning for anyone going down the A7. I passed through the village of Stow today and one of Her Majesty's Tax Collectors was there with yellow vest, skid-lid and hairdrier. Beware the 30mph speed limit.

See you all there.

Cheers
