It's REALLY sickening when you get little boys in their AXs with god-knows-what stuck all over it in an attempt to make it look better, and then they ask you to fit an engine they bought from something else (that probably won't fit). We always refuse, and Phil usually has a good laugh.
I had an AX boy come in the other week - he had put some of those "headlight eyebrows" on his car, and a massive spoiler on the boot. Apparently he's paying 2k insurance a year to drive around in that tin can (in a 1.0 AX) - because he got a driving ban while he was still on his provisional. I took great delight in saying "Oh, thats a shame. I pay £560 a year, and my car is a 1.4 BX"
Not a Xantia, but a very good reason why children should not be allowed to play with cars:
