Hi all.
Really had hoped this weekend's free cars listings on Ebay would throw up the nice, S2 diesel, leather, air con, etc. etc. estate I just know is waiting for me out there. Hopes dashed again !! There has been a small rash of well specced petrol estates lately, but not a single oil burner. Incidentally, has anyone else spotted the XM listed as 4x4 ? (Be truly ironic were it correct and a rare factory prototype !)

Hi Mike
I didn't know they did an estate with leather? There are a few ordinary ones out there. What do you want, manual, auto, 2.1 or 2.5.

Hi Peter.
Yes, there are leather ones out there --- there have been two or three dotted about for sale recently, but all petrol. I think they didn't do any Exclusive UK estates, but you could specify leather otherwise. As you know I'm more of an auto protagonist than you, but I must admit I'm wary of the later sealed, electrified jobby and I really don't know what to think about a late auto 2.1. On the other hand the 2.5, while full of grunt is a much tighter working environment. I think the key issues are S2, diesel, rust free, air con, no coolant or leak issues. I guess converting to a leather interior would be quite feasible from a donor car in due course. Gearbox type ---- erm, erm, erm dunno any more !! So --- that's that sorted !
I know you have the figures for the famoous bunch of same reg estates in '96; do you know how many estates they sold here after that ? (just so I know how optimistic I need to be).
Mike.

Hi Mike
You'r right, there dont seem to be any at all out there at the moment, apart from the comically priced ones in Autotrader. I've got two but I would like to keep them!
I will keep a look out.

Chaps,
When I recently visited Medway Citroen I commented on what they wre using as a car to lend out as it is a 2.1 diesel estate manual. I said tht they were in demand and if they advertised it for sale they should draw attention to this. I also noted that this car had full leather.
This car has now been advertised for sale by them.
On your marks....

Hi John.
I had a look at their link to this and I think it's a S1. Nice, but I do think personally that the S2s were better screwed together. (Sorry all you S1 guys) The search goes on !

Hi All
Were screws used for Mk1's? I thought that you had to remove all the wiring connectors and solder the wires tight to hold your Mk1 together!
