Hehe...In the 80s in Greece people would buy Porsches 924 or Golf GTis and tint the rear side windows (behind B pilar) in the car's color to pay the much lower "agricultural vehicle" import tax...of course there was no such thing as fear of the neighbours giving you away...

Seen a dark (but not black) R reg one a couple of times round bristol recently (St Werburgs and by the bus station), and a silver estate in the centre yesterday.
Passed a P reg Estate this morning heading into Dewsbury on Wakefield road at about 11.20. Was it you?
I have seen a very tidy Mk1 estate in green twice in the past week!
Passed it tonight leaving Belfast, has been a blonde woman driving it both times. It has an English plate, R38 RYN or something....

Silver estate doing a u-turn at Hooley on the A23 this morning at 7:45 ish?
I think it was Mk1, but didn't really see that well. Lady driver. I was a couple of cars behind it, but the fool in between decided to go to sleep at the junction so I didn't get to see if it went down the M23 (I didn't catch up with it if it did) or down the A23 into Merstham.

It's lived there ages; saw it again today --2.0 CT hatch right on the edge of the Staffs and Worcs canal, by the staircase lock, just past Wombourne.
