Im replacing a strut top on a mk1 with hydractive suspension, I have a new strut top for a mk1 but for a hydractive with 3.5mm feed union, I wondered if anyone had converted an earlier type to fit the later, larger pipe, as far as I can see it is the same casting but with just a smaller hole, I was thinking of having the casting machined to suit the larger pipe?

not sure how to ammend a post but, to confirm, the new strutop I have is for a mk1 NON hydractive with 3,5mm feed
