Full Version Witch Spheres To Replace?

Club XM Forum > Hydraulics Issues
Miguel
I’ve just buy my first XM (yes if I real love-it when I have the money I will buy another, mk2 V6 or 2.5TD).

It has 3 spheres on each axel. I have no experience with citroen suspension, just starting to overhaul my car, the rear of the car it balances and gives some bumps.
Should I replace the 2 side ones or also the central?

The car real needs some general works so I be careful were to spend the money.

By the way, I’m running with LPG thus any one use this kind of system?
I would like to have yours impressions.

Thanks to all.

Hi Miguel

If you want to save money you could try replacing just the centre sphere first, as this is the one mainly responsible for the soft ride. They are very often overlooked and just the outside ones changed. This will certainly improve it, providing that the hydractive system is working. They are also the most difficult to get off as they tend to get corroded.

I think 'citroenxm' runs an LPG conversion so I have no doubt he will pick this up sometime.
