I got three spheres to start with today from gsf, two fronts and accumulator, I working my way back!

after fitting the front and turning the engine on, lhm is pouring out from the seat/seals!

Do they need tightening using the special tool, I have done them as tight as possible by hand as per the manual?
Or are they the wrong ones? The centre section of the new spheres are different to the old, the bit at the end of the thread on the new centres are slightly raised whereas the originals arent, the threads are the same length however?

The accumulator seems to be leak free

Either you have forgotten the existing o-ring in place, hence you now have 2 o-rings, or you have not placed the o-ring correctly. To put a sphere, first neatly place the o-ring in its place wherever the sphere is to be screwed, then bring the sphere and screw it, hand-tighening only needed.

There should only be one o ring, a new one that came with the new sphere. Take it off the thread and place it in the recess where it will eventually live. Smear a bit of LHM on it to hold it in place. Carefully offer up the sphere and screw up firmly by hand taking care not to disturb the o ring in the process.

The o ring should be a proper square section one specially for lhm and not the usual round section type.

was using one o ring but putting it on the sphere instead of seat, oops,
no longer leaking, also rides a bit better!
