Have always preferred the S1 spoiler, and taking off the old one would have left unsightly holes.
So S1+S2 spoliers.... do I have a S3 back end now??
(P.S - thanks to Ken Newbold for the spoiler...and some other bits)

Wirdy, that looks great!
I've been wanting to do that with the S2 for quite a while. It was recently mentioned in a discussion on XM-L too, Ray Fenwick has done the same.
Did you encounter many problems doing it?
Ciarán.

There's no going back once you start
I needed to make two cut-outs (about 10mm 'V' shaped) in the S2 spoiler for the two S1 supports in order to get it as far back as possible and look 'right'.
Citroen left two circular weak points inside the S2 tailgate for the S1 spoiler- and two nice holes to get a socket onto the nuts too!
Once fitted there was one gotcha - the rear wiper chafed on the underside of the S1 spoiler so off it came and I fitted some 5mm spacers (kitchen lino offcuts as it happens!) to lift the spoiler up a bit and a stanley blade was used to reprofile the underside of the leading edge (not visible so no probs).

I've only just realised that you've left the S2 spoiler in place too, anyone I'd previously read about had removed the S2 one completely, then grafted on the S1, and filled the additional holes etc.
I'd always imagined that leaving the S2 one in place would look really weird, but looking at your pics, it doesn't. Do you happen to have any other shots of it from other angles, or perhaps closer up?
I'd consider doing it this way if I knew I wouldn't balls it up. Its certainly a lot less work than removing the S2 job, filling all the holes, then painting etc...

Hi Wirdy,
Are you able to repost the image of your spoiler please - I keep getting the message that the image has been deleted or moved. I have a spare Mk 1 spoiler and am toying with the idea of transplanting it onto my Mk2.

Kiwi

Certainly Kiwi.
Don't know why the other pic disappeared, perhaps fotopic changed the URL.
