Hi all.

I'm sure the N --- YBL series of registrations is the one I've seen Peter mention as being the only set of '96 estates. Sad as it may be, having owned my present XM for over a year, it only registered with me the other day that my saloon is also in this group. What's just popped up on Ebay -- another one, this time a 2.5 saloon, also an Exclusive, also black. Mine is 96 reg., but I think the RP indicates a 95 build. I can understand mine and the Ebay one sitting in the showroom, as presumably they were near, or at the top of the saloon price list. Be interesting to know if the estates had also hung around. Presumably Citroen themselves registered the lot of them, to demonstrate some 'sales'.

Hi Mike

That saloon was the only 'YBL' I have seen, I was under the mistaken impression that they were all estates, I have seen about 7 or 8 of them, not all in the flesh but some for sale and they were all 2.1 td manual estates. I think the figure of 61 registered only applies to the estates, so maybe there are a few more out there!

I know that mine was built in '95 as I was supplied with two incorrect radiators as the '96 is supposed to have the 'bayonet' fitting type hose connections. All the YBLs I have come across have been registered in January '96.

Hi Peter.

Wish I hadn't looked now !!! Mine was indeed a Citroen reg car. Prepared for the road stamp, Citroen UK, on 5th September '96. Inspection at 408 miles (no, I haven't missed a nought), 16th. Sept. (Presumably to clear out the cobwebs, dust and rust !!!!

Hmmm... I know my car was originally registered by Citroen UK in Slough, on an English N reg, must see if I can find out what it was, I think its in the documents somewhere....
