Anyone renewing strut tops on the front suspension about 3 years ago would have had to have paid in the region of £75 which I was quoted when I was cosidering a change. I put it off for a month and the price rose to £151 or therabouts. On enquiring today, I find that they are now £235 EACH!!!! W

hat a staggering increase - totally out of line with inflation.. Perhaps - very much perhaps - the latest supplies will last so much longer, but I shan't hold my breath.

Hi Techmanagain.
I'd guess the scenario is this ---
Three years ago, Citroen are still supplying units ordered in (relatively) big quantities, maybe from production stock.
Next batch ordered on a much smaller predicted demand basis.
Now -- down to quantities they would probably sooner not bother with. I'm not seeking to justify the actual price, but I can see a rationale in the fairly steep increases. I feel in some ways we are lucky they still supply at all. Last new one I had, about three years ago, I was met with the dread phrase 'back ordered'. Having a background in GM products, I took that to mean never. (As it would with a low volume Vauxhall model). I was amazed when it actually turned up a couple of weeks later.
Mike.

Hi all
I get my bits from GSF.They have been suppling the correct-ie larger size oil filter.Last time they sold me a W120 instead of a W140-when I said it was the wrong size they did a search on the computer which showed none of the larger ones in stock-just the smaller ones.I wish I'd known and bought 6 of the larger ones.
Will it make any difference fitting the smaller one?
