Hi All
Finally found a way today to pull out the siezed locking clip on the rear suspension cylinder without damaging anything other than the clip. As far as I could tell the clips and cylinders had been on the car for the full 12 years of its life. I made up a little puller, sprayed the pin with WD40 and with the pin under considerable tension levered the bottom end of the pin with the flat of a cold chisel. There was a fair bang when the corrosion gave up its grip on the pin. It was clear the WD40 had not penetrated very far along the clip. I meant to pre-soak things with the WD40 for a few days but forgot to and having finally made up a puller that looked as if it would work I could not resist trying it out. When I try the puller on the clip the other side I will take some photos of the setup to post.
