Anyone have anything tempting for a good friend of mine? I don't "need" to sell him any of mine, and anyway, he probably wouldn't want to buy an Xm of a total nutcase anyway!

Only real criteria on the shopping list:

Saloon
Manual
Petrol, though would try a diesel
S1 or S2
Ideally anything South of the Watford Gap

Budget? Somewhere between paying out for a legal cheapie until a nice one turns up, or, IF the right nice one turns up, prepared to twist his other half's arm to allow him to spend more of HIS own money!!

Anybody got/seen anything?

In response to your enquiry, if you are still looking I am about to list my 1995 VSX turbo on ebay. It is a very good car with everything working, no body rust, new exhaust and tyres etc. and I have a genuine reason for sale, which is that I have two other XM's and need more space in the garage! I hope to get between £900-1,200. I have numerous photos which I could email to you plus other details.

Hi Andrew - In response to your message the clutch is original to my knowledge, and like everything else works very well. The cambelt was changed around 80k incidently, and for the last 50k of my ownership the only problem that I have had was a slight leak of coolant due to a chaffed pipe. Regards, Matthew T.
